Servicing

We offer servicing for single press workshops all the way to multiroom, multi-press large setups. Servicing your presses can keep your presses running for longer and stop major problems developing. Identifying wear and tear and damage early can prevent bigger problems down the line. Keeping presses in their best condition is great for the presses and the prints, but essential for the safety of the user. We can also discuss ongoing maintenance schedules for day to day best practice between services. We provide full services either as one-offs or we can schedule annual or bi-annual servicing.

Repair and Restoration

Have you bought a press that needs a bit of TLC or a press you own has broken? A family heirloom, a press in a forgotten store cupboard, an impulsive eBay purchase? We offer repair and restoration, whether it’s a single part or a whole press that needs work. We offer everything from tympan recovering, replacement bearings, roller recovering to bespoke part manufacturing. Options for levels of restoration can be discussed. Where possible we like to restore presses sympathetically and in keeping to the age and origin of the press.

Consultation

Whether you’re opening a new studio or improving an existing one, we can offer experienced consultation and advise on all aspects of set up, layout, health and safety, lighting, equipment and press recommendations both from new suppliers or second hand, sundries and recommended suppliers. We can advise at any stage, from established spaces that need attention or are going through a period of development, to new workshops or projects. We can also advise on introducing printmaking into your classroom or creative space.

Professional Development

If you’re wanting to skill up or learn something new, Printmaking Services can provide bespoke printmaking development sessions to schools, teachers and technicians across all types of organisation and skill level. Have you got a press you’d like to know how to use? Want to introduce a new process? This can also be a great opportunity to get staff teams together to spend time with each other while learning something new.

Moving

We can offer a service to strip or pack presses ready to ship nationally or internationally. We are also able to move and rearrange presses within a room, studio, or premises. Coming soon: moving something from A to B is not always easy. We anticipate in the future undertaking moving of all types of presses and studio equipment, from a single press to whole studios. Although moving is not our main focus yet, if you’re stuck please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
